THE EARTH IS CHANGING.
LET'S DISCOVER HOW.

Explore NASA Earth observations, uncover environmental trends, and investigate the science behind a changing planet. TerraSignal retrieves real data, tests it with established statistical methods, and tells you honestly when the evidence is not there.

WHAT
is changing?

Variable selection across temperature, precipitation, wind, humidity, radiation and soil moisture.

WHERE
is it changing?

Point, bounding-box and map-based study areas, with the native grid cell drawn explicitly.

HOW MUCH
is it changing?

Sen's slope and OLS rates in physical units per year and per decade, with confidence intervals.

IS IT SIGNIFICANT?

Mann-Kendall with autocorrelation correction, p-values, effect sizes, sample size and FDR control.

About the project

A scientific discovery laboratory, not another environmental dashboard.

Most "climate dashboards" draw a line and call it a trend. TerraSignal does the opposite: it fetches the observations, validates them, documents every transformation, and then runs the statistical tests that Earth-science literature actually uses — Mann-Kendall, Sen's slope, Pettitt change-point detection, seasonal decomposition and false-discovery-rate control.

Every number you see is traceable to a provider response, an aggregation rule, or a published formula. When evidence is thin the platform says so: a p-value of 0.054 is reported as "not significant at α = 0.05", never rounded into a discovery.

Analysis runs on live data from NASA POWER, discovery uses the NASA CMR catalogue, and context comes from NASA GIBS imagery. Sign-in is not required, and no provider credential ever reaches the browser.

Real retrieval

No simulated datasets are ever presented as NASA observations.

Transparent statistics

p-values, confidence intervals, effect sizes and completeness.

Honest maps

The native 0.5° × 0.625° grid cell is drawn on every map.

Reproducible reports

PDF, CSV, JSON, GeoJSON and Markdown with provenance.
